At Emerald Horizons, we believe that every child and family has the potential to learn and grow, regardless of their abilities or challenges. We are committed to helping parents and guardians navigate the complexities of our medical and Special Education systems and unlock their potential as caregivers. We collaborate with parents to build safer, more supportive, and inclusive environments so that children & teens can explore their interests, develop their skills, and build meaningful relationships with others.
We take a collaborative and evidence-based approach to SpEd advocacy; working closely with families to bring the most effective, affirming and engaging IEPs that are tailored to each child's unique needs and strengths. Our goal is for parents to eventually no longer need our services. We leverage my insider knowledge and experience as school social workers and ERMHS therapists to help parents and guardians use language that educators and district managers can understand and truly hear your concerns or observations of your child. I use my experience as a parent to my own special needs children to see, hear and understand your experience as a fellow parent of your own unique child within the world of SpEd and in your family.
